BODY OF MAN FOUND SUBMERGED IN VEHICLE IDENTIFIED

MINDEN The body of a man found submerged in a vehicle has been identified.

Provincial police provided an update Monday on last week’s original investigation.

They said that on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2019, shortly after 8:30 a.m. officers of the Haliburton Highlands Detachment of the OPP located a vehicle in Kushog Lake near Highway 35.

The vehicle belonged to a person reported missing the day before and was located by a family member.

The deceased person located inside the vehicle has been identified as Richard Victor Saucier, 68, of Algonquin Highlands.

Police continue to investigate the cause of this collision.
