HUNTSVILLE — A trick o’ treater was lucky to avoid injury after the child opened a chocolate bar and when breaking it apart, a small pin was found inside on Halloween.

Police here would like the residents of Huntsville and Lake of Bays to be aware of a report that a child found a metal object in a chocolate bar after going door-to-door Saturday evening.

Fortunately, no other situations like this were reported locally and it appears to be an isolated incident.

The OPP did not post any images of the item involved.

Parents are always encouraged to look through the many items children collected during their Halloween activities.
