GRAVENHURST — Out of the frying pan into the fire.

A woman who rolled her vehicle Tuesday landed upside down.

But was able to get out of her car with the assistance of paramedics and police.

OPP and Muskoka EMS responded quickly  to a crash notification August 11, at 4:30 p.m., from a vehicle that had left the roadway and rolled over on West Lionshead Road in Kilworthy.

The long road, off Southwood Road, runs between Morrison and Sparrow lakes.

Their initial information was that the driver was trapped; however attending paramedics and officers were able to assist her in exiting the vehicle.

Fortunately the driver was uninjured.

However, police charged 50-year-old Christine Spencer, of Toronto, with Impaired Operation and Over 80.

Spencer is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on September 22, 2026.
