LAKE ROSSEAU — An unusual $30,000 cottage theft shows you never know where the thieves come and go from.

The OPP report that on Friday, August 7, at 10:45 p.m., officers responded to a report of a break and enter and theft that had occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. that evening.

The complainant reported that four unknown suspects entered the cottage through an unlocked door and stole approximately $5,000 in cash — as well as a ring valued at $25,000.

Police say the suspects then made a slow getaway in a blue pontoon boat with a white top.

They ask anyone who may have been the boat or suspects to contact them at the OPP detachment in Bracebridge.

Police are looking for help at the top of the Muskoka Lakes in an evening cottage theft on Lake Rosseau Friday Aug. 7 in which four suspects are said to have fled a cottage and run away with $5,000 in cash and ring valued at $25,000.
