TWO MORE DRIVERS CHARGED THURSDAY WITH IMPAIRED, AFTER SPEEDING PAST EMERGENCY VEHICLES IN BRACEBRIDGE AND FLEEING ACCIDENT IN RAYMOND

MUSKOKA — Canada Road Safety Week saw two more drivers charged with impaired operation yesterday.

Police say that on Thursday, May 14, at midnight members of the Central Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) were on Depot Drive in Bracebridge conducting an unrelated investigation and observed a vehicle pass their location in a concerning manner.

Officers located the vehicle in a nearby parking lot arresting and charging Evan Di Domenico, 29, of Bracebridge, with Impaired Operation, Over 80 and Fail to slow down and proceed with caution for emergency vehicle or tow truck (HTA 159(2)).

De Domenico is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge, June 30, 2026.

Accident on Raymond Road

Later the same day, at 4:30 p.m., officers along with members of the Central Region Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team responded to a single-vehicle collision, called in by a member of the public, which occurred on Raymond Road near Beatrice Town Line in Muskoka Lakes Township.

The driver had fled the scene and police learned that there were concerns for the drivers wellbeing.

At 7:20 p.m., with the assistance of the OPP K9 Unit and the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), officers located and arrested a man.

Jacob Harding, 31, of Muskoka Lakes Township, was charged with Impaired Operation, Over 80, Driving while under suspension and Failing to remain (at collision).

Harding is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge, on June 30, 2026.

The driver of this vehicle that crashed on Raymond Road near Beatrice Townline fled the accident before police tracked him down and charged Jacob Harding, 31, of Muskoka Lakes Township. He was charged with impaired and driving while under suspension. PHOTOS OPP
