GRAVENHURST — Four for four.
That’s Cameron Bird and Om Patel.
The Gravenhurst High School doubles seniors badminton players are back at OFSAA Thursday for their final crack at winning a provincial championship.
For four years now the Grade 12 Gryphons students have won both the Parry-Sound Muskoka and Georgian Bay championships.
Before moving on to the Ontario finals.
This year they hope — in the final high school competition — to finally win the trifecta.
And they may have shot with a new classification that puts semi-pro GTA club players in their own division.
Leaving the rest of province to fight it out.
And after again topping the GBSSA division the week before last they hope to go out with a big win they’ve fought for since 2022.
Games begin Thursday at the Markham Pan Am Centre.
