PARRY SOUND-MUSKOKA — Mark Carney has a local running mate.
MuskokaTODAY.com has learned that Geordie Sabbagh, a Huntsville filmmaker and father has been named the Liberal candidate for Parry Sound-Muskoka.

Local federal party president Bill Condy tells us this afternoon that the party has named their man to challenge Conservative and former Huntsville mayor Scott Aitchison.
“Stay tuned,” says Condy.
An election starts as soon as within the coming weeks.

An online search shows he was raised in a Lebanese-Canadian family. His entrepreneurial father took his young family to the Cayman Islands, where the son spent most of his early development until he left for Queen’s University in Kingston.
He travelled to the Netherlands for undergraduate studies, and receiving his international masters of business administration in London.
He worked in radio, with the BBC World Service in Afghanistan, where he began to learn the technical aspects of both journalism and production.
