MACTIER WOMAN CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED DRIVING LAST NIGHT AFTER AVOIDING RIDE CHECK

GRAVENHURST (Jan. 31) — A driver who police say appeared to avoid a RIDE cheque has been charged with impaired operation.

Last night, Thursday Jan. 30, police were on Muskoka Road South at 11 p.m. checking vehicles, when a vehicle veered off the road within site of them.

Officers followed the driver and stopped her a short distance away.

And they arrested and charged 23-year-old Jesse MacLeod, of MacTier, with Operation While Impaired CC 320.14(1)(a) and Over 80 CC 320.14(1)(b).

MacLeod is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on February 25, 2025 to answer to her charges.

Police were conducting a RIDE check on Muskoka Road South in Gravenhurst at 11 p.m. last night when they spotted a driver who appeared to be trying to avoid their stop.
