Third traffic light midway Hwy. 118 would help

HWY. 118 BARRIER WILL DRIVE McD BUSINESS TO HORTONS, ARGUES BRACEBRIDGE OWNER https://muskokatoday.com/2025/01/hwy-118-barrier-will-drive-mcd-business-to-hortons-argues-owner/
Seems to me they could install a light where McDonalds and CTC meet on 118. This would provide an entrance/exit from both sides and slow down the traffic as well.
I’m sure McDonalds would be happy to pay for this.

South Muskoka should be outraged at MAHC

KRUGER LETTER TO MINISTER JONES REVEALS STARTLING NEW CLAIMS OF HOSPITAL TALKS LAST YEAR https://muskokatoday.com/2025/01/kruger-letter-to-minister-jones-reveals-startling-new-claims-of-hospital-talks-last-year/
If these claims are true (and I have no reason to think otherwise as he names names and states dates), the MAHC board has mishandled the hospital issue and should be replaced.
Regarding the choice of hospital location, not only was due diligence not performed adequately on the chosen Pine Street location, but also the land is rocky and hilly and requires major work to make it suitable for building.
Plus the parcel of land is too small to meet ministry guidelines, so more property must be purchased (at what additional cost?), from a school (St. Dominic’s) and public park (J. D. Lang).
In addition, there was a major conflict of interest regarding the then chair of MAHC Moreen Miller — former president of Fowler Construction.
The MAHC board is currently only planning to spend the amount of money needed for the current design of a 31-bed hospital in South Muskoka, well short of the 46-bed hospital that has been promised.
And EMS personnel have expressed concerns regarding the Pine Street location.
An alternate location at 1975 Muskoka Beach Road has been proposed, which includes a donation of 40 acres of land for the hospital location, plus a cash donation of $10 million, an offer to purchase the Pine Street location from the Town of Bracebridge (so that they are not out of pocket), and a further donation of land for a public park.
Yet, the MAHC board is unwilling to consider this offer.
All citizens of south Muskoka should be outraged.
Has there been any response from the minister of health?
