PUBLIC COMPLAINT LEADS TO IMPAIRED DRIVING, DRUG CHARGES SATURDAY

BRACEBRIDGE — A local man faces drug and impaired driving charges after a public complaint about his driving Saturday.

On December 21, at 10:15 p.m., police responded to a concern from a member of the pubic about the well-being of a driver in a vehicle that had stopped near Pine Street in Bracebridge.

As a result, officer arrested and charged 46-year-old Jason Cheetham, of Bracebridge, with Operation while Impaired- Drug CC 320.14(1)(a), Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Opioid CDSA 4(1) and Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Cocaine CDSA 4(1).

Cheetham is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on February 4, 2025.

Police investigated a complaint about a vehicle stopped near Pine Street in Bracebridge on the weekend.
