GRAVENHURST — If you’re looking for paper towels after the run on COVID paper products, you might ask Mike Ceccolini.

He buys them by the truckload. And by the looks of his new warehouse here last night, it seems he’s cornered the market locally.

“I don’t just buy a few skids,” he said with a laugh at a big open house in Gravenhurst’s south end industrial area for Muskoka Cleaning Supply and Services (formerly Glendon and Danotti).

A hundred or more customers, Muskoka Lakes Chamber of Commerce members, friends and supporters turned out for the monthly Business After Hours event.

He and his wife, Lisa, welcomed all of them at the soiree along with MPP Graydon Smith who mingled with the business crowd munching on pulled pork sandwiches.

From coffee cups and stir sticks, to paper and plastic bags and industrial cleaning supplies, the Timmins-based company offers a huge range of products and services to clean up and mop up.

Ceccolini’s 20-year family-run business offers complete janitorial and restaurant supplies. They also carry hundreds of cleaning and Maintenance products, fire specialty restoration Chemicals, automotive car care chemicals, as well as products for restaurant, hotel, motel and business needs across Muskoka.

And of course tons of those paper towels and toilet paper rolls, which lined Thursday’s reception rooms floor to ceiling.

“You should see the warehouse next door.”

Electricion Karl Klos, of Klos Concepts, was among 100 people helping celebrate the grand opening.

Smith congratulated the Ceccolinis and helped them cut a ribbon to officially open their Margaret Street business.

While on hand he also presented Wendy Patriquin, of Patriquin Virtual Office, with certificates on behalf of himself and MP Scott Aitchison for 30 years in business.

Norah Fountain, Muskoka Lakes chamber executive director and evening emcee — also introduced Muskoka Tourism Association president Val Hamilton who recently returned from the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario convention with a TIAO award for the Bala Cranberry Festival.

David Skoric, board director, Alannah Oliver, festival coordinator, and Tania Cowley, festival manager, accepted the award.

Ceccolini also presented $1,000 donations to GAP chair Beth Houston and ENLIVEN Cancer Care, of Huntsville. On hand to receive the donation were Carrie Campbell and Andrea Johnston.

Smith also brought congratulations to Wendy Patriquin, of Patriquin Virtual Office, for 30 years in business.
