MAN ACCUSED OF PLAGUING HWY. 11 CHARGED WITH 3 COUNTS EACH OF GAS ROBBERIES AND BREAK AND ENTERS

GRAVENHURST — A local man accused of plaguing a section of Hwy. 11 between Kilworthy and Hwy. 118 E. north in Gravenhurst appeared in bail court today, charged with three counts of gas bar robbery as well as three break and enters in August and September.

Police, with the assistance of the Muskoka Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), have been investigating the crimes for two months.

Their leads led to one suspect and yesterday, Sept. 18, officers with the support of the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), executed a warrant at a residence on Ure Road in Gravenhurst.

They arrested and charged 23-year-old Jacob Kramer, of Gravenhurst with the following:

  • Break and Enter X 3
  • Robbery X 3
  • Theft Under $5,000 X 2
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

Kramer was held in custody for a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge Thursday, Sept. 19, 2024.

Police were looking for this suspect from Sept. 1 who got away with cash at the Stop and Go gas bar at South Kahshe Lake Road. A Gravenhurst man was charged yesterday in connection with the robbery.
