WEEKEND IMPAIRED CHARGES FOR PORT CARLING MAN, NEW TECUMSETH WOMAN

MUSKOKA — A close call Friday night has a Port Carling man charged with impaired driving.

He’s one of two alcohol-related incidents the past three days.

On April 19 at 10 p.m. police were called to a commercial parking lot on Wellington Street near Monck Road in Bracebridge after a vehicle was seen scraping along another vehicle in an apparent attempt to park.

Officers attended and charged Shane Houle, 19, of Port Carling with Impaired Operation CC 320.14(1)(a) and Over 80 CC 320.14(1)(b).

Houle is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on May 14, 2024.

Yesterday morning at 8 a.m. officers responded to a concern from a member of the public about a driver’s well-being after they pulled into a service centre on Hwy. 11 North in Gravenhurst.

They charged 41-year-old Kendra Hisson, of New Tecumseth, with Impaired Operation CC 320.14(1)(a) and Over 80 CC 320.14(1)(b). Hisson is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on May 28, 2024.

Police made two impaired driving charges in Gravenhurst and Bracebridge Friday and Sunday.
