THIEF CRAWLS IN HORTONS DRIVE-THRU WINDOW, STEALS SMALL AMOUNT OF CASH IN BRACEBRIDGE

BRACEBRIDGE — A north end Hortons, near Walmart, was the victim of a break-in early last week in which a thief crawled in the drive-thru window in the middle of night stealing a small amount of cash.

The thief, wearing a mask, pried open the drive-thru window, before entering in a successful serach of cash.

Police are investigating the B&E on Depot Drive at the intersection with Taylor Road Monday, March 18,  which they say occurred just before 3 a.m.

A employee going to work noticed the damage and called police.

Officers conducted an investigation and with the assistance of surveillance footage determined that the suspect pried open the drive-thru window several hours earlier at 11:45 p.m, entered and crawled throughout the restaurant, accessing tills holding cash, ultimately making off with a small quantity of money.

The suspect is described wearing black running shoes with a white sole, navy blue sweatpants, a black long sleeve shirt, a black balaclava, and black gloves.

The suspect left on foot through a wooded area behind the restaurant.
