MAN CHARGED WITH TRYING TO RETURN STOLEN BEER KEGS TO HUNTSVILLE BREWERY

HUNTSVILLE A beer bust has a local man facing several suds charges.

OPP at Huntsville have laid multiple charges following an investigation into stolen beer kegs early last week.

On Monday March 14, at 2:30 p.m., police were called regarding a suspicious male trying to return kegs to a local brewery.

Officers began an investigation and were able to identify the accused and several affected local businesses.

As a result, Aron Lamoureux, age 38, of Huntsville was charged with:

  • Mischief – destroys or damages property
  • Break, Enter a place – commit indictable offence – Two counts
  • Theft Under $5000 – Three counts
  • Trafficking in stolen goods under $5,000 (incl. possession with intent to traffic) – Two Counts

Lamoureux, is to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.

Police say several businesses were affected by the stolen keg caper.
