MAN SUFFERS ‘SERIOUS’ FACIAL INJURIES AFTER FIRST STREET SOUTH ASSAULT IN GRAVENHURST; 3 PEOPLE CHARGED

GRAVENHURST — An investigation in to a “serious assault” last Thursday has police charging three Gravenhurst men with assault causing bodily harm.

The assault took place February 1 on First Street South they say took place at a “busy residence,” OPP say today.

The victim was able to get out of the residence and was taken to hospital where he received care for significant injuries to his face.

Police have charged 30-year-old Travis Shelton, 33-year-old Joshua Hummel, and 44-year-old Raymond Shaw, each with Assault Causing Bodily Harm CC 267(b).

Shelton, Shaw and Hummel are to appear later in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge.

It is the latest crime plauging the end of First Street neighbourhood.

The three accused Gravenhurst men are to appear in court later after after victims suffered injuries to his face before fleeing. It is the latest crime plauging the end of First Street.
