HUNTSVILLE SNOW PLOW DRIVER CHARGED IN BRACEBRIDGE WITH IMPAIRED OPERATION

MUSKOKA — Three impaired driving charges the past five days include a 21-year-old snow plow operator.

On Friday December 15, at 2:30 a.m., police were called about a possible impaired driver when a member of the public called police concerned about the driving behaviour of a truck with a plow on the front in the area of Depot Drive in Bracebridge.

Officers located the vehicle nearby and charged Connor MacMillan-Dubreuil, of Huntsville, with Impaired Operation CC 320.14(1)(a) and Over 80 CC 320.14(1)(b).

He is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on January 23, 2024.

On Sunday December 17, just before 9:30 p.m. the OPP responded to another concern from a motorist about the “erratic driving behaviour” of a motorist on Highway 118 in Bracebridge.

Police found the vehicle on Highway 118, near Highway 11, and conducted a traffic stop. They arrested 23-year-old Nash Thompson, of Hillsburgh, who was charged with Impaired Operation CC 320.14(1)(a); as well as Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand for Breath CC 320.15(1).

Thompson is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on January 9, 2024.

Early this morning, December 19 at 1:45 a.m., a motorist called police after they became concerned about a driver who was out of their vehicle on Highway 11 North in Gravenhurst who may need assistance.

Officers attended and located the person and subsequently arrested and charged 53-year-old Richard Trask, of Barrie, with Failure or Refusal to Comply with Breath Demand CC 320.15(1) and Operation while Prohibited CC 320.18(1)(a). Trask is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on January 23, 2024.

An early morning driver today in Gravenhurst was the third person charged with impaired operation of a vehicle.
