GRAVENHURST MAN CHARGED TWICE IN SIX DAYS WITH DRUG-TRAFFICKING

GRAVENHURST — A man charged twice the past week with drug-trafficking was in court this morning facing a bail hearing.

Shane Ketelaar, of Gravenhurst, was arrested yesterday and held overnight.

He was previously arrested last Friday on similar charges.

Police say today the Muskoka Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) and local detachment officers charged Ketelaar as part of an on-going drug investigation.

On December 1 Ketelaar was arrested and charged with several offences related to drug trafficking after an early morning investigation.

The Muskoka Community Street Crime Unit continued their investigation into local drug trafficking and on December 6 was again arrested and charged the 35-year-old man with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance (Cocaine) for the Purpose of Trafficking CDSA 5(2)
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance (Opioid) CDSA 4(2)
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime CC 354(1)(a)
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order CC 733.1(1)

Ketelaar was in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge December 7, 2024, to answer to his charges.

Shane Ketelaar, 35, of Gravenhurst was arrested again Wednesday after also being charged last Friday as part of a drug-trafficking investigation by police. Police seized drugs and cash.
