BRACEBRIDGE — Sale of the summer! Everything must go — to help the Gravenhurst Bifocals Band continue the sweet sounds of music this summer.
Clarinetist Marjorie Hall is throwing open her whole front yard, at 3 Curling Rd., Saturday from to entertain shoppers with a wealth of goodies donated by band members.
Downbeat is 8:30 a.m. till 2 p.m.
Rain or shine — it’s a garage sale you book on have something for anyone, any age to read or need.
Books galore … golf clubs, hockey equipment, tools, outdoor furniture, sewing machines, electronics/music items, sporting goods, dishes, kitchenware, baby items, puzzles/games, home furnishings, pictures/frames, seasonal goods, purses, yarn, office supplies, luggage, perennials, lemonade, popcorn, baked goods … and so much more.
There’s even free hot popcorn made right before your eyes in an eye-popping (LOL) antique portable corn popper.
While you’re browsing — and buying — you can listen to the ‘Women of the Woods’ clarinet quintet, conductor Kim Barlow on guitar in a duo with her singing daughter Jane; and Barlow again play alto sax with her hubby Neil on cornet.
And who knows what other band members bring their axes.
You might even find a horn or two for sale if you’re looking to join one of the many Muskoka bands the Bifocals feed into.
