THIRD FEMALE TEEN NOW CHARGED AFTER ALLEGED KIDNAPPING AND ASSAULT IN HUNTSVILLE

HUNTSVILLE An third female involved in an alleged kidnapping and assault of a local youth here last Wednesday has been identified and additional charges have been laid against the accused the individuals.

Police now say that on May 24 at approximately 1:45 p.m. they were contacted by Huntsville High School staff who reported a possible assault.

Investigating officers also became aware of a related video circulating on social media.

As a result, an additional kidnapping charge and an upgraded charge of assault causing bodily harm have been laid, the OPP say in a release Tuesday.

A 15-year-old girl from Huntsville, a 17-year-old girl from Armour Township and an 18-year-old woman Scirel Campese, from Perry Township, have been charged with:

  • Assault causing bodily harm
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Theft under $5,000
  • Forcible confinement
  • Kidnapping

The accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date. Identities of those younger than 18-years-old are protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).

Investigators thank the public for their patience as they continue to complete this investigation.
