RADAR CHECK ON HWY. 11 LEADS TO IMPAIRED DRIVING CHARGE FOR BRACEBRIDGE MAN

GRAVENHURST — A radar check has led to an impaired driving charge against a Bracebridge driver Saturday.

Police say that on Jan. 7, just after 5 p.m. an officer with the Central Region Traffic team was conducting speed enforcement on Hwy. 11 north in Gravenhurst and stopped a vehicle near Doe Lake Road.

An investigation led to a traffic offence and police arrested and charged 70-year-old Raymond Quance with Operation While Impaired – Over 80 CC 320.14(1)(b) and speeding under the HTA 128.

Quance is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge Jan. 31, 2023.
