HUNTSVILLE MAN, 22, CHARGED WITH SEXUAL ASSAULT THAT TOOK PLACE SUNDAY

HUNTSVILLE — A 22-year-old charged yesterday faces two sex assault charges and police say there may be more potential victims in relation to the accused.

Police say they charged the Huntsville man with sexual offences on a young person.

The sexual assault took place Sept. 11 in Huntsville and was recently reported to police. The OPP investigation has now led to the charges being laid against Isiah Hamilton.

Hamilton was arrested Sept. and charged with the following:

  • Sexual assault contrary to section 271 of the Criminal Code of Canada.
  • Sexual interference contrary to section 151 of the Criminal Code of Canada.

Hamilton was released from custody on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear on Oct. 25, 2022 in the Ontario Court of Justice, Muskoka.

Police say the assault took place Sunday. Isiah Hamilton was charged Tuesday.
