GRAVENHURST — Good-bye, Jessie!

It was a grand farewell last night for Jessie Napper and her sister Emily.

Or at least half a grand.

The two sisters are off this Sunday to work in the Cayman Islands for the winter.

And boss Annette Gillan, at Well Fed, where Jessie works invited them out to the Frosty Pint to play Gravenhurst Rotary TV Bingo, along with Gillan’s son Morgan.

And … “Under the I-22” Jessie won $500 — half the final prize when the final was number called.

Emily caught all the excitement on video, which she shared with us — adding she just had a feeling about her sister’s last number and turned on her iPhone to record the winning moment that saw Jessie jump for joy.

After the game they were all excited to relate the story and the fact that they were at the lucky table right next to the one where last week Terri Puittinen was the big winner.

Unfortunately next week they will be in the Caymans and won’t be able to try their luck at the lucky tables.

Jessie is going to work as a surveyor and waiter at a high-end hotel; and her sister Emily will work at a Montesorri school in the Caribbean islands.

“That’ll pay the first month’s rent,” joked Gillan, who usually plays each week at home with husband Paul.

Napper’s win was one of eight on the night (with $2,000 in prizes) in the weekly community charity bingo night, which sees proceeds go to community projects.

Emily Napper had a feeling sister Jessie would get the final number so got out her phone.
