GRAVENHURST WOMAN CHARGED AFTER YOUTH ASSAULTED AND HIS BIKE TOSSED IN LAKE

GRAVENHURST — A woman faces charges after police say she assaulted a youth at a public park and threw his bike in Muskoka Lake.

The OPP report that on Sunday May 15, at 3:30 p.m., officers responded to a complaint about a youth who they say had been assaulted by an adult at Ungerman Park in Gravenhurst.

And that the adult threw his bicycle into the lake.

The victim, say police, then hid until the adult left.

He suffered minor injuries and the bicycle has not been recovered.

Police conducted an investigation, arresting and charging 32 year-old Brittany Tomasetti-Lahay, of Gravenhurst, with Assault CC 266 and Mischief Under $5000 CC 430(4).

Tomasetti-Lahay is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge June 28.
