GRAVENHURST MAN, WOMAN FACE DRUGS, WEAPONS CHARGES AFTER TRAFFIC COMPLAINTS FRIDAY

GRAVENHURST — Drugs and weapons charges were laid Friday against two Gravenhurst residents after police were called to the north end of the town where they located the pair at a public beach.

The OPP say that on Friday May 6, at 4 p.m., they received two traffic complaints from members of the public about a vehicle travelling on Farquhar Street.

Officers located the vehicle at the end of Lorne Street and after an investigation arrested and charged 33-year-old Shannan Green with Possession of Schedule I (Cocaine) for the Purpose of Trafficking CDSA 5(2) and two counts of Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose CC 88.

A second person, 39-year-old Dwayne Clodd, was also charged with Possession of Schedule I (Cocaine) for the Purpose of Trafficking CDSA 5(2) and being an Occupant of a Motor Vehicle knowing there was a prohibited or restricted weapon CC 94.

Green and Clodd are to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge June 21, 2022.

The pair were arrested and charged at the end of Lorne Street Friday, May 6, after 4 p.m.
