NEW YEAR’S STABBING IN BRACEBRIDGE JUST HOURS IN TO 2022

BRACEBRIDGE — An early New Year’s stabbing has one Bracebridge man in hospital and another charged in his stabbing yesterday.

Police say that at 4:40 a.m., Jan. 1, the OPP and Muskoka EMS responded to a report of a stabbing at an address on Manitoba Street in Bracebridge.

They say a 27-year-old Bracebridge man was taken to hospital with serious injuries and they say he remains in stable condition.

Police arrested a 22-year-old Bracebridge man who was been taken into custody.

The OPP say their investigation is ongoing with the assistance of the Muskoka Crime Unit and the OPP Forensic Identification Unit and that more information will be released as they become available.
