SAVE YOUR BANNER/EXAMINER THURSDAY FOR NOV. 28 ROTARY TV/INTERNET AUCTION FLYER

GRAVENHURST — Support local businesses, help your community and get great bargains from the comfort of your home starting this weekend.

That’s when the Gravenhurst Rotary TV/Internet Auction kicks off pre-bidding for the Nov. 28 Sunday main afternoon live TV event.

After more than three decades of delivering deals on Cable 10 — and later with Cogeco and now YourTV in Gravenhurst and Bracebridge — the local service club presents its popular Christmas extravaganza.

So save your weekender Banner/Examiner this Thursday (Nov. 18) when the auction flyer comes with a pull-out middle section filled with items you can begin bidding on on Saturday (Nov. 21).

Auction chair Micky Iutzi and her committee have been busy since after Labour Day getting fellow Rotarians to rustle up generous donations from merchants in the two south Muskoka communities — and even beyond.

Iutzi says they have a record number of more than 340 items up for grabs large and small including dozens of gift certificates.

“I can’t thank the donors enough,” she said adding “and the shoppers who make it all possible for us to help the community.”

It’s a labour of love that has not only sustained the club and community, but has been of big benefit for people who are glad to get an early Christmas present.

Check out the flyer and see what interests you.

The online site opens for bids Saturday at gravenhurstrotaryauction.com.

Rotarians Kyle Moorhouse, with his dog Vella, and Micky Iutzi have been working hard cataloguing items for the Nov. 28 Rotary TV/Internet Auction for months.
