GRAVENHURST MAN CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED DRIVING TODAY

SEVERN TOWNSHIP A Gravenhurst man is charged with impaired driving after being stopped on Hwy. 11 early this morning.

Provincial police say they’ve arrested and charged him driver after a stop in of Severn.

This was the third impaired driving arrest in three days in the Orillia detachment area.

They say that on May 21, just after midnight, officers were conducting traffic enforcement in Severn Township, when they stopped his vehicle for a traffic violation.

After speaking to the driver, the officer entered into an impaired driving investigation and administered a roadside test.

The driver was subsequently arrested and transported to the OPP detachment for further investigation.

As a result, Daniel Morel, 29, has been charged with Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) and other provincial driving offences.

Morel was released on a Form 10 Undertaking with a court date of July 20, 2021, at the Ontario Court of Justice, Orillia.

A police enforcement on Hwy. 11 early today led to an impaired driving charge against a Gravenhurst man.
