GRAVENHURST — A couple of alleged shoplifters could be in for a lockdown if police can identify them.

The OPP say they are investigating a theft at the Shoppers Drug Mart on Muskoka Road South in Gravenhurst two weeks ago.

They say a woman and man entered the store Friday Feb. 12, just after 3 p.m., after which staff reported $200 in merchandise had been stolen.

Police obtained store surveillance footage of the suspects and are asking the public’s help in identifying them.

The woman is described as 5-foot-6 and was wearing a white coat.

Her male companion is about 5-foot-7 and had on a black-and-white checked jacket.

Police ask that if anyone has information they can contact the OPP at Bracebridge at 1-888-310-1122.

They say you can also call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or submit your information online at Crime Stoppers does not subscribe to call display and you will remain anonymous. Being anonymous, you will not testify in court and your information may lead to a cash reward of up to $2,000.
