POLICE UPDATE CHARGES IN HUNTSVILLE CHILD LURING CASE
HUNTSVILLE — A police update on sex assault charges released yesterday adds another charge today.
Officers from the Huntsville OPP detachment, Muskoka Crime Unit, Child Exploitation Unit and the Digital Forensic Unit of the Ontario Provincial Police conducted an investigation into a sexual assault involving a young person and an adult resulting in two charges and third now.
Police say they received a complaint from Cybertip.ca in late December that a young person had intimate contact with an adult male. As a result of the investigation, Kevin Cameron, 49, of Huntsville, Ontario, was first charged with:
Adult Luring a Person Under 18 years of age by means of Telecommunication
And Adult Luring a Person Under 16 years of age by means of Telecommunication.
Today, Jan. 6, a third charge was added:
Adult Distribute Sexually Explicit Material to a Person under 18yrs of age.
Cameron is to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Huntsville, at a later date.
