HEART-WARMING ROTARY & FABRICARE COAT GIVE-AWAY HUGE SUCCESS

MUSKOKA — With winter looking like it’s here to stay now that it’s December, there are a lot of Muskokans wearing warmer jackets thanks to a heart-warming partnership between Rotary and Fabricare.

Bracebridge Rotarian John de Koning says a three-day joint giveaway last week was a success that will be felt for months — and winters — to come

“In conjunction with our community partner Fabricare Cleaning Centre, the Rotary clubs of Bracebridge Muskoka Lakes, the Rotary Club of Huntsville and the Rotary Club of Gravenhurst collected and distributed winter coats to those who need them in Bracebridge, Huntsville and a few in Gravenhurst.

De Koning said “hundreds of coats were donated and distributed.”

“Thank you to everyone who donated coats.

“A special thanks goes to Tammy Reid and Fabricare. Fabricare exemplifies what it is to be a great community partner during times of need.”

He said: “Despite a tough business environment because of COVID-19 Fabricare recognized the need to help local citizens and pulled out all the stops. Fabricare gave of their time, their equipment, their supplies and their retail space. Fabricare could not have been better.

“Without Fabricare the Rotary Muskoka Winter Coat Drive would not have occurred. Fabricare deserves all the credit.”

Bracebridge Rotarian and organizer John de Koning offered special thanks and praise for Fabricare’s regional manager Tammy Reid. He said “Fabricare exemplifies what it is to be a great community partner during times of need.”
