TWO PEOPLE IN MUSKOKA LAKES AMONG 34 TODAY WITH COVID

SIMCOE-MUSKOKA — A middle-aged woman and a man 80+ — both from Muskoka Lakes Township — are just two of 32 cases of COVID-19 being reported today as the running total hits one shy of 1,800.

The two Muskoka residents are under investigation as to the cause.

The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit also says another person has died of the coronavirus.

Across Ontario 28 more people have died as cases Thursday Nov. 19 reach 1,210.

In the west, Manitoba added 475 cases and Quebec 1,027, with 34 deaths.

This as a vaccine plans for 2021 are emerging that will see millions of seniors in retirement and long-term care homes among the first to get the shot.

Simcoe and Muskoka are now reporting 1,799 confirmed cases of COVID-19 for the year, with 52 deaths including one more as of today.

There was one more death today among 34 new cases of COVID.
