POLICE STILL CHASING MOTORCYLISTS WHO TOPPED OUT AT 200 KM/H
GEORGIAN BAY — A motorcycle race up and down Hwy. 400 that topped out at more than 200 km/h has police playing catch-up.
Provincial police from the Southern Georgian Bay OPP detachment are chasing them more than a month later and need help catching up with the drivers who were on sport bikes on Hwy. 400 at Hwy. 12 in Tay Township Saturday, Sept. 26.
The OPP say that at 3:30 p.m. four or five motorcycles were spotted racing up and down the highway weaving in and out of traffic.
Though there were no accidents, police say numerous other drivers were “impacted by the actions of these persons while on their motorcycles.”
Police ask that anyone who knows anybody on the motorcycles — or who has dash cam video of the racers — is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
