PONTOON BOAT STOLEN OVERNIGHT IN MUSKOKA LAKES

MUSKOKA LAKES TOWNSHIP The boating season may be over for one boat owner.

And continuing for a thief.

If you’re on the lakes this weekend keep a lookout.

Provincial police here say they are investigating a pontoon boat, motor and trailer theft and want the public’s help.

Sometime between 7 p.m. last night and this morning at 8 a.m. a Lowe SS210, 21-foot pontoon boat — black and tan — Mercury 90 ELPT four-stroke outboard motor loaded on a black Kara LTP, dual axle trailer, was stolen from a residence on Stroud Beach Road in Muskoka Lakes Township.

The trailer’s Ontario licence plate is L53 83W.

This boat and trailer were stolen between 7 p.m. last night and 8 a.m. this morning, say police.
