55 PEOPLE IN SIMCOE TEST COVID POSITIVE; NONE IN MUSKOKA MONDAY

MUSKOKA — After record weekend numbers provincewide, Simcoe reported today that 55 people tested positive in the local health unit count since Friday.

Muskoka had no cases Monday, Oct. 26.

Ontario dropped to 851 after 1,072 on Sunday.

And Quebec reported 808.

Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit reports an additional two deaths, bringing the total to 49, among 1,287 who have now tested positive for the coronavirus.

Among the 55 below cases in Simcoe, a dozen each were in Bradford-West Gwillimbury and New Tecumseth; 9 were Innisfil and 8 in Barrie.

Muskokans are faring better with COVID of late thanks to many more wearing masks, like John Maynard here who was grocery shopping in Bracebridge over the weekend.
