UPDATE: 23 COVID CASES TODAY IN S-M; ONE LESS IN GRAVENHURST

UPDATE: Health unit says Oct. 6 count now 23, due to eight more cases at Simcoe Manner, as of 2 p.m. media briefing.

MUSKOKA — Tuesday’s COVID count is mixed for residents of Simcoe and Muskoka.

The overall count is down to 15 from 24 the day before as reported at 1:30 p.m. today.

And one case attributed yesterday to Gravenhurst has been moved to a different health unit.

And as MOH Dr. Charles Gardner issued a $5,000 per day fining order today for those not self-isolating after testing positive, Ontario reported 544 cases (a one-day drop from 615).

Meanwhile, among the local regional cases all 15 are in Simcoe, with 9 related to an outbreak in New Tecumseth.

The Oct. 6 report, as of 1:30 p.m., was updated to 23 at 2 p.m.
The Oct. 6 COVID count sees 15 new in Simcoe and Muskoka and one removed from Gravenhurst.
