CTC GAS BAR CLOSED FOR RENOS — NOT DUE TO COVID

GRAVENHURST — As COVID-19 scares ramp up in the wake of 10 new positive tests in Muskoka any closures or signs of cleaners converging on businesses is turning heads.

At the Canadian Tire Gas Bar here today the pumps were taped off and men in white haz-mad suits were seen going in and out of the kiosk where people who don’t pay by the nozzle are supposed to don masks to cash out.

The busy gas bar is located next to the Shopper’s Drug Mart on Muskoka Road south — the town’s main street.

An unidentified worker holding a work mask who peeked out from behind an orange curtain allayed fears of coronavirus washdown.

He said it was a routine renovation.

Apparently mould problems in the roof.

“Greese on the ceiling.”

He said the pumps will be flowing again in a day or two.

A worker peers out from the gas bar kiosk. He said all is good and that it will reopen Friday afternoon.
The CTC pumps were taped off Tuesday night and again today, Wednesday, Sept. 23.
