GRAVENHURST — Fitness buffs happy to recently be back in the gym as part of the Stage 3 pandemic recovery will be happy to hear Crunch Fitness Canada is opening in the former IGA grocer in downtown Gravenhurst.

Originally scheduled to open in June, the Crunch Bunny is expected to be on the stationary bike on Sharpe Street in October, a block east off the Muskoka Road main street from the Opera House.

The Orillia Crunch only opened July 17.

A Facebook page for it says: The Crunch gym in Gravenhurst, ON fuses fitness and fun with certified personal trainers, awesome group fitness classes, and gym memberships starting at $9.95 a month.

Crunch Fitness Canada, a chain of gyms, was due to open in June, but it has been delayed due to COVID-19 and now expected to open in October in the former IGA on Sharpe Street in Gravenhurst.
The former IGA, at 190 Sharpe Street, is expected to open in October after originally planning to open in June. The old downtown grocer relocated under the Sobeys brand at the south end of Gravenhurst.
