TRUCK, MOTORCYCLE THEFTS IN WASHAGO, ORILLIA

ORILLIA — At least one person believed to have stolen a pick-up truck from a business in Severn Township possibly Friday night is being sought in connection with a break-in and theft at a home in Orillia in which a motorcycle, bicycle, helmet and other items were stolen early Saturday.

Provincial police in Orillia say they were called to a business break and enter and theft June 19 and a separate break-in and theft, both related.

They say sometime overnight one or more people broke into a Washago business in Severn Township, where they stole keys to a grey 2002 Chevrolet Silverado.

At 3:30 a.m. Saturday a suspect driving the vehicle was seen on camera breaking into a High Street residence in Orillia.

The suspect entered the garage of the residence and removed several items, including a 2008 Suzuki motorcycle, a red and black Trek 18-speed bike with green pedals and a white camo-coloured Origine brand snowmobile helmet, along with other items.

The Orillia OPP are continuing to investigate these incidents.
