GTA PAIR CHARGED WITH FIRING GUNS AT TORRANCE BARRENS
MUSKOKA LAKES TWP. — A camping complaint led police to a gun call and charges against two young GTA residents, the OPP said Friday.
Provincial police say they were dispatched to a complaint about people using the Torrance Barrens, in Muskoka Lakes Township, for camping and not being respectful about the natural environment.
Officers located the pair who police say were discharging firearms in an unsafe manner.
As a result, they charged 20-year-old Junhong Chen, of Mississauga, and 21-year-old Daniil Oliynyk, of Maple, each with Careless Use of a Firearm CC 86(1).
Police seized six firearms.
The two are to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on August 11, 2020.

It will be interesting to see if the guns are returned and if convicted, what the sentences and fines are. Will you follow it up?
