FORD ADMITS HE WAS WRONG GOING TO HIS COTTAGE

PORT SYDNEY — What’s good for the goose is not good for the ganders.

Or at least the Easter Bunny.

Our colleagues in the press report that Premier Doug Ford slipped up to his Port Sydney cottage Easter weekend.

Just a quick pit stop to check on his pipes, he said.

And he admits he was wrong and should be called out after telling others not to do the same.

Do as I say, not as I do, it would seem.

Reports quote him as saying he came, he saw and left for home all in a morning off from work.

He didn’t even stop, he said, or engage anyone — save for phone calls to the mayors of Huntsville and Bracebridge, according to a Toronto Star story.

He might have also been there to inspect the new road barrier restriction at South Mary Lake Road recently installed to avoid more accidents at the Hwy. 11 intersection where he would have to detour around to get back home.

Meanwhile, he announced today that on Monday, May 11, provincial parks will re-open with strict social-distancing rules.

Ford doesn’t expect to take advantage of that.

He says he’ll be too busy this next few months.

So, don’t expect to see him at the cottage again, too soon.

But, you never know, as Ontario reported fewer new cases COVID-19 today, May 9, than normal.

However, still disturbing is that a higher number of cases are from community contact, and not only in LTCs.

The Toronto Star reported Saturday that it’s investigation points to more corona virus cases at for-profits homes.
