DON’T CALL US, WE’LL CALL YOU FOR SWAB TEST RESULTS: RVH

BARRIE People who were swabbed at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) for COVID-19 are being asked not to call the hospital emergency department.

In an urgent email this afternoon, RVH communications person Donna Danyluk asked the media to help us get this “important information out to the public.”

She said many people are calling our ER “and we need to keep those lines clear.”

Patients waiting for their COVID-19 test results who have been swabbed:

  • RVH will telephone ALLpatients with their results — positive or negative.
  • Please help us keep our phone lines clear — do not call RVH for your results — you will be called as soon as the results are available.
  • Reminder — there is a backlog of tests across the province and results may be delayed.
RVH says there is a backlog in COVID-19 tests in Ontario and patients will be called with their results if they are positive or negative. (Kim Kyung-Hoon/Reuters file photo)
