POPULAR SNOW PLOW DRIVER DIES AFTER FALLING THROUGH ICE

HALIBURTON COUNTY Police have identified a snow plow driver whose truck went through the ice Saturday afternoon.

Larry Bagg, 57, a well-known resident of Eagle Lake died after being pulled from his pick-up truck Dec. 14, on Bushwolf Lake.

A post mortem has been ordered by the Coroner.

Provincial police were called to the Dysart, et al tragedy just after 4 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers learned that Bagg was still in the submerged pickup.

He had been out on the lake plowing a track when it broke through.

Bagg was recovered by the Algonquin Highlands Fire Department’s ice rescue team with help from the Dysart et al Fire Department.

He was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Policeo remind everyone that no ice is ever 100 per cent safe and to be very cautious when going out on the ice.
