BRACEBRIDGE RESIDENT, 57, DIES AFTER VEHICLE HITS TREE TODAY

BRACEBRIDGE — A 57-year-old Bracebridge resident is dead after vehicle hit a tree on Peterson Road.

Provincial police and Muskoka EMS responded to the single vehicle collision Oct. 15 at 7:35 a.m.

They say a nearby resident was awoken by the sound of the vehicle striking a tree and called for help.

The driver was found in the vehicle unresponsive and unfortunately lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful.

Peterson Road in the area of Uffington Road was currently closed to allow the OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) to continue the investigation.

Emergency crews were called to Peterson Road in Bracebridge today, where a male driver hit a tree and efforts to save him were unsuccessful.
