MOTORCYLIST HIT IN HAND BY PASSING CAR NEAR CARNARVON

ALGONQUIN HIGHLANDS — A Motorcyclist who was hit in the hand by the mirror of a passing vehicle Thursday was treated for minor injuries in a hit-and-run.

Provincial police say that on Sept. 05, shortly before 5:30 p.m. officers were called to assist at a collision on Highway 118 just east of Carnarvon.

They say the westbound motorcycle was struck by an eastbound car that crossed the centre line.

The eastbound car failed to remain at the scene of the collision. The motorcyclist was treated at an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are looking for assistance from the public in identifying the driver responsible.

The suspect vehicle is dark coloured Dodge or Chrysler product with damage to the driver’s mirror.
