TONY CLEMENT HAS LEFT THE BUILDING

OTTAWA Parry Sound-Muskoka’s member of Parliament has left the House.

Thirteen years after narrowly winning back the seat for the Conservatives, MP Tony Clement closed out his federal political career Thursday when Parliament rose for its summer recess.

Barring a callback before the election, that’s it for him.

Tony Clement has left the Parlament Buildings, with one last photo in the new temporary House of Commons.

And the Indpendent MP went out with wimper rather than a bang, taken down by own doing in a sexting scandal the past year.

On Facebook Thursday, he posted: “Now the House is adjourned. It’s been my highest honour to represent the people of#ParrySound #Muskoka in the House of Commons 2006-19. Through thick and thin you stuck by me and I’ll never forget it. You’ll see me around at all the fairs and festivals this summer so say hi!”

Clement’s replacement will be elected Oct. 21.
