CHAMBER OF COMMERCE CAR SHOW SATURDAY IN GRAVENHURST

GRAVENHURST — Start your engines.

It’s the morning commute Saturday for the biggest and best traffic jam of the year in Gravenhurst as the annual Chamber of Commerce Car Show hits the roads and streets in the Gateway to Muskoka.

It’s showtime and you’re invited to cruise down memory lane or take a ride on your highway to heaven.

Hundreds of cars and trucks and vintage automobiles of all ages, sizes, colours and configurations await you once inside the Gull Lake Rotary Park grounds.

Cash donations are welcome to view the vehicles tucked under the pine trees and into every corner or the park to the farthest corners deep down by the lake.

As always, we recommend the best place to watch is the corner of Brock Street and Bethune Drive as the drivers motor in in their prides and joys.

Set your GPS and hustle to that insection by 8 or 9 a.m. for that piece of motor madness.

And also to find the best parking for yourself.

But there is lots of parking within walking distance. (Another tip: you might want to bring an umbrella or rain slicker.)

Otherwise, feel free to wade in and wander around and admire the best collection of antique and classic and hot rod cars and trucks in town for the day.

The show runs till about 2-3 p.m., with lots of food and drink and fun for the whole family.

(P.S.: It’s the same Father’s Day in downtown Bracebridge)
