TIRES SLASHED NEXT TO OPP COMMUNITY POLICING OFFICE

GRAVENHURST — Police are looking for a brazened vandal armed with a weapon who slashed tires on nine vehicles next to the community policing office early yesterday.

The OPP are investigating tire slashing on nine vehciles early Friday next to the community policing office in downtown Gravenhurst.

Provincial police say that on Friday May 17, at 2:20 a.m. officers were dispatched to a mischief complaint about vehicles located in a parking lot at the corner of Muskoka Road and Brock Street in Gravenhurst.

That’s next to the OPP’s satellite office in downtown Gravenhurst.

They received a report that tires on the vehicles had been slashed causing them to deflate.

Police were called to the same area earlier — shortly after midnight — after a fight broke out involving multiple patrons from the bar next door and several were refused re-entry to the bar.

The investigation is ongoing and police would like to speak with anyone that was present that night or has information to offer.
