Muskoka Wharf tree lighting Friday night at 6 p.m.

GRAVENHURST — The folks at the Muskoka Wharf would like to invite you to their 3rd annual tree lighting ceremony this Friday, 6 to 8 p.m. at the A.P. Cockburn Square.
The handful of merchants may be small, but they’re enthusiastic.

They will be serving free coffee and tea at PolarDip Ice Cream Shoppe to keep you warm. Entertainment will be by the Elderberries Choir, with day-old Mayor Paul Kelly turning on the lights at 6:30 p.m.

“Let’s gather together and spread some holiday cheer,” says the PolarDip’s Sara Goosen. “I look forward to seeing you there. :)” she says in her email with the smiley face ending.

Unfortunately the Boston Pizza, which was to open last week, isn’t expected to start serving until the new year.
