Gravenhurst’s Gull Lake beach safe for swimming again as alert lifted

The health unit has given Gull Lake Rotary Park beach the all-clear for swimming this long long weekend.

GRAVENHURST — The on again/off again beach alert at Gull Lake Rotary Park is off again.

That means it safe to swim and sunbathe.

The swim advisory posted on Tuesday July 31, at Gull Lake Beach in Gravenhurst — as advised by the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) — has now been lifted.

That’s according to a release from the town on behalf of the health unit.

The town says it would like to thank the public for their patience and cooperation, and say they will continue to work with the SMDHU to monitor bacteria levels in the water and share any necessary precautions with the public when necessary.
